TMJ Disorders
TMJ (Tempromandibular Joint) Disorder is a general term referring to a variety of problems associated with your complex jaw joint. It can present a distressing syndrome of pain, limited jaw movement, clicking, popping and crepitus (a grating sound similar to the crumbling sound of parchment paper) in the jaw joint. Some symptoms that may occur include headaches, muscle pain, ear pain, spasms of the head, neck, shoulder, and/or back dizziness, ringing and stuffiness in the ears, blurred vision, etc. Drs. Goodman & West are experienced in treating TMJ through a variety of methods. Our first and foremost goal always is to exhaust every non-surgical treatment option before recommending more involved measures. For a list of all procedures, click here.
